For a long time, we  ( as consumers ) moved away from wanting to know about the lives of brands and those at the companies. I think that we have suffered because of it with phone trees, hold times, and bad PR, but it seems there is a solid shift to take things &quot;back in time&quot;. isPermaLink="false">http://marketingwizdom.com/?p=1321#comment-183</guid> <description>Robert,An excellent article again.It still amazes me how powerful a well constructed story can be for a business, yet how few actually work out what theirs is.I&#039;m just in the middle of a series of 10 minute talks on using stories to grow your business, and you&#039;d be surprised how many &#039;lightbulbs&#039; you can see going off in the audience when they realise the impact a well constructed story could have on their business.You only have to look at Apple and the way they have used stories, and more recently Microsoft&#039;s stories about Windows 7 to see the potential...One of my clients once told me that he didn&#039;t have a story, because he wasn&#039;t like the &#039;big companies&#039;, but when we developed his story and then used it in an advert, his response increased tenfold on the first placement...If you have just read this article, but haven&#039;t yet developed your story, I suggest you go back and read it again, then start drafting out your story.You&#039;ll be glad you did.Thanks for the reminder and great article.Jez
