I heard about this talk the day after it was delivered. I managed to get the transcript a day or two later. It inspired me from the first moment I ever came across it. It says so much. And it is so well articulated. It is a classic if ever there was one. It doesn’t matter how many times I read it, it always inspires. when I first shared it here it wasn’t as well known as it is now. But I’m glad that it continues to inspire. Thank you for your comment Irene.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it by living somebody else’s life”. I keep this sentence forever in mind. Steve’s great story shows why it is so important to listen to your heart first considering the important decisions in life, instead to all the rationalized stuff coming from the mind. If you really love what you are doing, you stay hungry. When you stay hungry, no matter what struggle or difficulties you have to face in life, you have the power to move on. I didn’t know about the existence of Steve’s Stanford speech until I visited your blog. Thanks for sharing Robert!

Beautifully inspirational. Stay Hungry. That can be applied to so many facets of life and I believe it should be.

Many people go on about life thinking ‘I have achieved what I needed to’. Others think well have we truly done so?

I have followed Steve Jobs and Apple for more than 20 years and what I have learned from him is profound. He doesn’t talk about his philosophy in public very often, so this was a particularly valuable talk.
